If you are going to call, raise or fold, say it out loud followed by the appropriate placing of your chips. Doing so will make it easier to determine what you want to do, both for yourself, the other players and the dealer.
When placing a bet, grab all the chips at once and place them in the middle. Do not do it one at a time, as the other chips will not count. Another thing about chips: arrange them in stacks: this will make it easier to make bets.
You should always place something on top of your Poker cards, like a chip or some other small item that you may be holding. This will indicate that your cards are live. If you leave your hand unprotected and they get hit by a dead card, your hand will be declared invalid for that game as well.
Finally, when you win, never give up your Poker hand until you are handed the pot. Always ask for the pot first. When you have it, then you can turn over your hand to the dealer. This is not to suggest that the dealer will swindle you of the pot; rather it is to make sure that there will be no confusion as to who actually won in the hand.
